Dooo doot doot dooo doot doo dooo! Nino Rota's soundtrack for The Godfather may have produced the saddest trumpet in the world. It's a striking score to an unforgettable film. Rota paints a dark and elegant back drop for Francis Ford Coppola's tale of mafia life in America and Italy. The composer incorporates elements of jazz and orchestral music to create a sound that is as epic as it is timeless.
